SHADES of GREEN - Eco Friendly Beauty

Going green does not have to be an all or nothing proposition. Once we realize there are many SHADES of GREEN it becomes easier to grasp the idea that little changes do add up. Wilshire Beauty has created a GREEN Department with the intention of helping to empower people to make informed choices.

In hand selecting which lines to include in the GREEN Department Wilshire Beauty used the following guidelines:

• Animal Friendly
• Charitable
• Local
• Recycled/Recycling
• Sustainable
• Vegetarian/Vegan
• Organic
• Less Toxic-includes “natural”

Since the term “natural” is not governed by the FDA
we used the following criteria:

• High concentration of plant based and naturally derived ingredients
• Little to no parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate, petro-chemicals, phthalates and synthetic fragrances or coloring

Some SHADES of GREEN have a direct positive impact on the environment while others have a more indirect positive effect on the environment. The trend towards more naturally based products is an example of a SHADE of GREEN with an indirect effect. By using fewer toxic ingredients in our products we are releasing fewer toxins into the environment.
